Getting To and Around Georgia
Getting To and Around Georgia

Being the hip and modernized state that it is, getting to and around Georgia is unsurprisingly very easy. Georgia is served by one hundred and seven public airports, although only nine of them are commercial. The most important commercial airports serving the state of Georgia are the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, the DeKalb Peachtree Airport (Chamblee, Georgia) and the Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International Airport (which is the state's principal airport, and which is regarded as the busiest passenger airport in the planet).
If air travel isn't quite your cup of tea, then land travel is probably more to your taste. You can go about this two ways: you can either take the train (which is fun) or go on a road trip (which is even more fun). Georgia is served by Amtrak, and two Amtrak routes get you to Georgia. As for major highways, well – there is more than one thousand major interstate highways that can be found WITHIN Georgia's borders alone, though the most important ones are the I-75 and the I-95.
In this section, we will be hosting regularly-updated railway schedules as well as images of Georgia road maps, for your convenience. Please check back often for updates.
